We see a strong and meaningful connection between our students’ wellness and their campus engagement. That’s why encouraging students to get involved is one of the most important things we can do to support their health.

Your student has access to excellent health and wellness support via Nebraska Wesleyan’s Student Health Services and Counseling Services

We have RNs available daily to evaluate injuries or illnesses, and to offer health counseling and referrals. We also staff Advanced Practice Nurses (APRNs) 12-15 hours per week to diagnose and treat illness and injury. APRNs have prescribing authority and can perform tests on campus, including rapid influenza, mono, strep, and COVID-19 tests.

We also offer students first-aid and over-the-counter medications at no cost. Student Health can also administer injections for allergies or other medical needs at no cost.

To provide the best possible care, we require each student to and documentation of compliance with the university’s vaccination requirements by July 15. These requirements help us treat your student appropriately should they need care from Student Health professionals.

Counseling Services provides personal counseling by licensed mental health practitioners. Some common reasons students visit a counselor include depression, anxiety, homesickness, stress, relationship concerns, trauma and grief. During the academic year, students can make counseling appointments by stopping by our office, calling us at (402) 465-2464 or emailing counseling [at] nebrwesleyan.edu (counseling[at]nebrwesleyan[dot]edu). All counseling services are confidential.

We’re committed to students’ health. As your student transitions to ÎÞÂë×ÔÒù, we’re here to provide excellent support. We look forward to serving your student this fall.
